Sunde Engineering has extensive commercial site development experience ranging from small restaurants to large shopping centers.  In addition, Sunde Engineering is skilled in residential subdivision design from the initial planning stages through completion of construction documents.  Our projects include high scale residential and golf communities, large master planned communities, and typical subdivisions.  Our staff is fully aware of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.  We use this knowledge to facilitate developments that are sensitive to local issues and require minimal permitting efforts.  Our engineers understand regulatory agency requirements, deadlines, construction costs and techniques, and how they impact our client’s budget.  Sunde Engineering is experienced with DOT requirements, including drainage and driveway permits, roadway design, and right-of-way plans.  We routinely secure permits from the DNR, PCA, watershed districts, counties, and local governments.

Sunde Engineering is well qualified to provide a full range of hydrologic/hydraulic and drainage related services.  Our engineering staff includes experts in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis.  We are experienced in storm sewer design, box culvert design, open channel analysis, erosion protection, inlet control outfall structures.  Using state of the art computer models, we are able to develop innovative solutions for stormwater management on difficult sites.  We are fully qualified in the use of SWMM and HEC-RAS for bridge and channel modeling, TR-20 and HydroCAD for storm sewer design, and P8 for water quality analysis.  We are experienced in the necessary permitting for various types of drainage improvements such as US Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 permitting, NPDES permitting, and various local and state requirements.
