Sunde Engineering provided design work for the construction of retail, office, townhouse buildings, associated parking areas, and driveways on a ±3.6-acre redevelopment site. We were involved with this project through schematic design, design development, and government approval phases. Our team members participated in meetings to present design options, review plans, and coordinate civil work on the project. We designed geometric controls for a two-dimensional site plan and reviewed against local requirements; we prepared a Grading and Drainage Plan that illustrated finals grades as well as proposed locations, type, materials, and sizes of on-site storm sewer; location, types, materials, and sizes of on-site catchbasins and maintenance holes, and stormwater management facilities and structures. Sunde Engineering also developed a Site Utilities Plan, illustrating proposed sizes, locations, materials, and types of private, on-site sanitary, watermain, and appurtenances. Our drawings included required erosion control measures, details, and designs to meet City approval. In addition, we provided construction phase professional services, including interpretation of civil drawings, shop drawing review for civil work, and construction observation of civil-related issues
