Sunde Engineering is currently performing design and preparing construction documents for an office, daycare, and parking expansion of existing facilities on a 57.88-acre site. Building footprints encompass about 43,380 ft2 and about 360 stalls and accompanying drives will be added, covering 146,423 ft2. This project is in a special watershed domain in which a wetland conservation area exists and special rules apply. Innovative storm water infiltration designs have been developed to accommodate a high water table as well as to protect wetland areas. Roof drains direct storm water to rock cisterns, which in turn lead to an infiltration system. Infiltration trenches and bioretention basins are used to treat and infiltrate parking lot storm water runoff.
